ULAB Organized Curriculum Integration Forum Named “Conditioning"



The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh Department of Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) organized this year’s last Curriculum Integration Forum fall 2019 on 7th November 2019 at Chhayanaut Shangskriti-Bhavan Auditorium in Dhanmondi, Dhaka

This year’s Curriculum Integration forum topic was “Conditioning” a behavior process of humans and animals whereby people act or see the things in common. The Forum was divided into two sectors first one is public speaking and the second one is public dialogue sessions.

By the welcoming speech of Dr.Jude William Genilo Head of Media Studies and Journalism Department of ULAB Started the event at 9.00 am He told about the Basic theory of “Conditioning” and then Assistant Professor of MSJ Dr. Sarkar Barbaq Qarmal and Lecturer Wafi Aziz Sattar Explains the Theory to the students.

After the first part the public dialogue session was started and its topic was “Have we been conditioned? To accept hate speech? The panelists for the session were Dr. Abantee Harun, Assistant Professor GED, ULAB, Professor Habib Md. Ali, MSJ Department and guest speaker Arup Rahee, writer, poet and singer. The moderator was Kazi Mahmudur Rahman, Associate Professor of MSJ.

After the public dialogue session, a question and answer part was held. Students asked questions about the recent incident connecting the topic of Conditioning and the teachers answered their questions.

At the end of the program, Hiya Islam, Lecturer of the MSJ Department. Praised the audience and honoring the guest speaker Arup Rahee. After that she ended the event.
